Prospective Participants for Bang*Bang 66

This is a signup for the April 24 issue; the text deadline for the issue is Tuesday, April 18, and the art deadline is Saturday, April 22. Please comment here if you plan to submit a story or artwork for this issue. Artists should specify whether you're submitting a standalone piece, offering to illustrate a story, or doing both. Artists offering to illustrate should provide either links to or thumbnails of past works as examples of style; writers wishing to collaborate with artists (or artists wishing to collaborate with writers) should respond directly to comments to this post. As always, you don't have to sign up to participate, and you're not creating an unbreakable contract by signing up, but it's always a good idea! Signups for the beta reader pool will be in an upcoming post.

The theme for this issue is Second Chances: Ever wish you could turn back time and do it all again? Well, now you can!

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS ISSUE: In some ways, this is a normal m/m issue, where we take new submissions created specifically for this theme -- so if you're inspired for that, go for it! This is actually one of our most-requested issue themes.

However, because it's also been a much-requested thing, we've designated this issue as a redo/remix/rewrite opportunity as well. If you've had a particular story/artwork run in one of our m/m SSBB issues before and really wished you could give it a good overhaul, this is the issue for you! Give that piece a second chance with a fresh coat of paint, a few plotline tweaks, or a whole brand-new happy ending. You can change it as much or as little as you like, so long as you're doing something other than just tidying sentences and renaming characters.

You may also remix someone else's story or artwork -- but only with the original creator's permission. You may do this by contacting the creator directly. Creators who want to offer up their work for remixing may also comment on this post or contact the editorial staff through other channels; this post will keep a list of those creators whose works are open to anyone for remixing.

Due to how this is one issue addressing many much-requested elements, individuals may create multiple submissions for this issue.

There will be a digital edition of this issue released for download at some point in the future, and from this point on we're assuming that if you submit to us, you are saying yes to being a part of this collection. However, if you do not want your contribution available for download, please let us know in an email and we will respect that.

Consider adding yourself as a member of the bb_shousetsu community if you're writing or illustrating. For open discussion on any SSBB-related topic, start a thread at bangbangwhimper or our bulletin board. For related nonsense, announcements, and various goings-on, find us at our main website, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, DeviantArt, y!gallery, Archive of Our Own, Plurk, and Goodreads!

Receive reminders and deadlines by email by signing up for our newsletter! We promise: no spam, only porn.

Check out the SSBB Wiki! We welcome all contributors who have information to share.
